Since 1997 Marco Spinetto supervises the operations of Strategic Innovation and R&D in Pirelli Tyre.
He is in charge of the Technology Roadmapping process and of the Management Committees for technological development projects. He coordinates the Open Innovation projects, among which the JointLabs – a technical-scientific cooperation between Pirelli and Politecnico di Milano.
He is a member of the Board of CORIMAV, Consortium for the Research of Advanced Materials between Pirelli and Milano Bicocca University, which evolved in the School of Doctorate in Materials Science and Nanotechnology in 2005.
He also manages the Product Academy, education platform of the R&D Division focused on innovation technologies, competences and management tools, and the Knowledge Management intranet portal.
Previously, since 1993 to 1997, he was Technical Director at Pirelli KK Japan, in Tokyo.
He graduated and obtained a Doctorate in Nuclear Engineering at Politecnico di Milano.
